Sumco offers electroplating services with a focus on reel-to-reel plating. Sumco specializes in tin, tin alloys, reflowed-tin and precious metal plating. Process capabilities include selective and over-all plating of coil stock; both full width and die-width, as well as stamped parts on strip.
Sumco is a major supplier of plated coil stock material to the automotive industry; much of this material is subsequently stamped and formed into electrical connectors.
The Sumco name is synonymous with Quality, as demonstrated by being the first electroplater in the U.S. to become QS 9000 registered. Our state of the art facility is ISO/ TS 16949 registered, and uses the latest plating technology and inspection equipment. Research and Development is a priority for Sumco, where experienced engineering teams concentrate on plating process enhancements, technological improvements and plating systems innovations.
